In what probably foretells the upcoming reset and not a harbinger of the collector line’s prophesied doom, the 3.75” Black Series line is on clearance at some Walmart stores. The only reason this bears watching is that there is one more orange card wave before the line transitions to TIE Fighter Pilot cards, so the clearance seems a bit premature.
It took most of my morning, three Targets and one very nice associate, but my Sunday mission of tracking down the 6” deluxe figures was a success. Only one Target in my area received these and they only had one case.

If you’re like us, Star Wars is your passion, but your pop-culture interests are varied (are you psyched for Guardians of the Galaxy?). We are focused as a Star Wars site and don’t want to water down the front page content with non-Star Wars news. but we don’t want you to miss out on other pop-culture news. For that reason, our own Darth Dre will star providing an off topic roundup as a weekly feature. Look for Darth Dre’s Off Topic Roundup coming soon.
Our friends at Yakface are reporting that the 18 figure “re-launch” case for the Black Series 3.75” line has been cancelled. This marks the second time that solicitations for an atypical cases size were taken and then soon cancelled. The 8 figure 6” line assortment received a similar fate.
I know I’m stating the obvious here, but a look at Black Series pre-orders shows that the line is absolutely ground to a halt.
