Cantina Dude (Yellow Spacer #2) Custom

Convinced that the collector 3.75” may be a dying animal and inspired AJ’s custom Sail Barge astromech bartender, I decided to take matters into my own hand and make one of my most wanted figures.

Cantina Dude is a cantina patron seen just to the right of Leesub Sirln for whom Hasbro gave us a Legacy Collection figure.  This is a fairly simple custom since Hasbro has given us all the major ingredients.  Cantina Dude wears Bossk’s flight suit (literally), so the figure starts with the VTSC Bossk figure.  Hasbro provided the helmet with the POTJ BoShek figure.  The gloves come from an X-Wing Luke.  The pegs holding the forearms in place had to be shaved down with an Exacto knife to accommodate the shallower recess on the gloves.  Finally Bossk’s lower legs were amputated at the ammo bandoleer and the longer boots from two X-Wing pilot figures were super glued in their place.  The thighs on Bossk figure are somewhat long, so long lower legs are need to make the figure not look silly.  Some black touch-up oaint and the figure is complete.
