There are toys I have no interest in, like, say, Mighty Morphine Power Rangers, and then there are toys whose entire concepts I just don’t get. I think it’s because I’m not yet senile enough to be as stupid as the kids these things are intended for. Mainly, the ones that really make me scratch my bald spot raw are the finger toys. These are those miniature skateboards and die-cast dirtbikes that you push around plastic obstacle courses with your fingers.

The official site brings us news that The Phantom Menace will be the first live action Star Wars movie to be converted to 3D in 2012. Regardless of how you feel about the process of converting 2D movies to 3D, more media support is a great thing for the hobby!

Our very own SithMan has found the Clone Wars Nikto at his local (Iowa) Toys R Us for $10.99. As reported around the web, it is currently also available on TRU.com.

Our friends at Yakface and Jedi Temple Archives have reported on the issue.  We’ve submitted Q&A question to the fact, but there seems to be no near end to the problem of brand new in package white armor figures showing up with yellowing or greening limbs and helmets.  It started with the Spacetrooper from wave 13 of Legacy and continues to this date.  This morning I came upon three of the latest case of Clone Wars figures.  I had my pick of three Goji figures.  Each one had yellowed limbs and a yellowed belt.  As I’m only a casual collector of Clone Wars, this made them an easy pass.

Hasbro, we hope you address this soon, even if it’s merely to acknowledge the problem and provide assurances that it’s being looked into.
