If you saw our previous report, Targets are undergoing a toy department reset this week, which usually ushers in new toys.  However since the 3.75” Black Series shares the same DPCI as the Vintage Collection, many stores will not be stocking new Black Series figures upon completion of the reset due to Vintage Collection back stock.  These stores will not be getting in 3.75” Black Series figures until that Vintage Collection stock sells through or until Hasbro reps recall them.  Target takes guests concerns seriously.  If your store happens to be back logged with old stock, voicing your concerns politely via Twitter, e-mail or in person may help remedy your situation.

USA Today has an exclusive trailer for Dark Horse’s new 8 issue series ‘The Star Wars’ which is an adaption of George Lucas’ original rough-draft screenplay featuring Luke Skywalker as an old general and Han Solo as a lizard.

Returning to the scale we have all loved for 35 years, the 3.75” scale Black Series Yavin Ceremony Luke Skywalker has been added to our archives.

Tracking the Star Wars Holiday Special online is a bit like tracking the McRib in real life.  It’s never in one place too long.  The entire special is currently on Daily Motion inclusive of the vintage commercials, which are the best part.  Stream it in the background while you’re at work.  It’s one of those things that’s been bad for so long, it’s somehow coming back around to being good.

We’re ready for round two of the Missing In Action Figures feature.  This time we tackled another wildly popular subset:  the cantina patrons.  Before getting down to business, we need to throw out some caveats.  First, this is not a comprehensive list.  We decided internally that we either had to be able to identify the character on film OR be familiar with the character from other sources.  So characters like the fourth spaceman are not on the list.  Second, we think that a Sai’torr Kal Fas figure would be identical to the Hrchek Kal Fas figure we already have, so she’s not on the list.  As always, the rankings are subjective.  Let us know what you think.  If you make a good argument, maybe we’ll change the points. 

Also, we get the impression that we should Expand our search for unmade characters.  If you think there is a particularly good source, please contact us.  Otherwise, I’m going to advocate for the Thrawn Trilogy.

This past Saturday, I stopped into a Toys R Us.  What I saw doesn’t exactly bode well for the 3.75” Black Series line.  Details after the jump.
