It’s not a new idea, and in fact our very own Chris and I were talking about a Christmas release for VII not long after the news broke about Disney acquiring the franchise. (To be fair, we were arguing for how a December, 2014 release was entirely possible…and at the time it was.)
But now it’s apparently being reported from “multiple sources” that December 15th, 2015, is the date Disney has chosen for this film’s release. If for no other reason, this makes sense with Avengers 2 coming out May 1st that same year. It wouldn’t be the best idea to get the biggest competition from another studio you own.

If this doesn’t hit you right at home, get out. Get out now. You don’t belong here. X-Ray films has released a sneak peek trailer for their upcoming documentary, Plastic Galaxy: The Story of Star Wars Toys which will be available on DVD in September, 2013.

If you have a BJ’s Wholesale Club (similar to Costco or Sams) in your area, you might be able so save some bucks on the 12” Anakin to Vader.
Once again from the site Latino Review, another trilogy spanning character is set to return in ghostly form.
This is a pretty neat article on Visual News about the evolution of the Star Wars logo. It was a long road to the “Star Vader” font we all love.
Star Wars Figuren also has boxed pics of wave 2 of the 6” Black Series.
Star Wars Figuren scores carded pics of wave 3 including the first reveal of Merumeru, which looks pretty fantastic. Here’s praying the collector 3.75” line survives.
It was a late night / early morning, but 48 images of the Vintage Collection Slave I are here. While I did not write the review on the following page, I echo the sentiments (save for being able to lock the canopy in the up position). At times, I felt like Tom Hanks in Big playing with the Skyscraper Transformer.
I’d better have all the parts. That’s all I can say.
Update: I have all the parts.
We have to give some credence to this report since Latino Review has been out in front of a lot of Episode VII news. They confirm the rumor report from Jedi News that Ian McDiarmid will be reprising his role as Emperor Palpatine and they know exactly how. It’s not a clone and there’s an obvious clue in the thumbnail tease.
The Guardian opines on the viability of a “long-form” live action Star Wars television series. Their ideas have me intrigued and honestly excited at the prospect. Plus they discuss the concept of Jar Jar’s Sopranos style execution and use the phrase “interminable rubbish”. You gotta love the Brits.
