The Scum & Villainy blog highlights some unused Jabba the Hutt concepts.
Based on Chris’s review of the Vintage Republic Gunship, I visited a TRU yesterday to pick one up at the more-than-fair and already reduced price of $99. But I didn’t buy it because the lines were too long. But what a glorious day today is. Did you see the TRU flyer for this week? Some good deals there! 30% off Star Wars. I went online and picked up the exclusive Gunship for $69.99 as well as the X-Wing for $41.99. With free shipping, this all came out to less than the original price of the gunship alone.
Hasbro, take note. Interesting Original Trilogy figures still have legs in this line. Wave 3 consists of five figures. The All Star of the wave is Darth Plagueis which has long since sold out. The remaining four figures are three PT characters and one OT background alien. Despite the PT characters including a hero, a clone and a Wookiee, the next figure after Plagueis to sell out on Hasbro Toy Shop is the OT alien, Vizam. Again, Hasbro take note. Huzzah!
The minimally articulated 12” figures that have been referred to as “shampoo bottles” are on clearance at Walmart for $7.
Coming Soon! Boutros77 was kind enough to share this work in progress photo of the Hero Booth.
Gary Oldman confirmed to Sky Movies that he has been approached for a role in Episode VII.
Unlike past years, both the indomitable Mr. Nomadscout and I will be attending Hasbro’s Pre Toy Fair even. Hopefully with the extra hands on deck, we can bend Hasbro’s ear a bit. So if there are any comments you would like passed on or questions asked, please let us know either in the comments section, on Facebook, or via the Contact Us e-mail link.
Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives recently penned this piece on the glacial sales rate of the second wave of the Mission Series. We wanted to chime in with our own observations.
