Luke Skywalker Bespin Outfit gallery and review>>We’ve received some questions on the “displayability” of the Boutros77 Jabba’s Main Hall diorama we recently featured. Click through for a quick follow up on how well this piece integrates into your display.
This deal keeps getting worse all the time. According to CNN (via my local affiliate) the broken leg Harrison Ford suffered at the hands of the Millennium Falcon door required surgery. The surgery was a success and the star of my favorite childhood movies is recovering.
Okay, I admit this is pushing the boundaries a bit for a site that focuses on Star Wars coverage, but I think it’s cool. This video from Harley-Davidson teases their new electric motorcycle and it has a vague auditory resemblance to a speed bike. I want one. But I’d probably crash into a redwood.
The site Comic Book Resources does an outstanding job of determining when exactly did the movies Star Wars become titled “Episode IV - A New Hope” while dispelling many incorrectly held beliefs a long the way. I found it a very interesting read to go with my morning coffee and hope you do too.
Our favorite diorama maker, Boutros77 has written in to let us know that a smaller version of the Jabba’s Main Hall, which we reviewed here, is available for those with space concerns. You can see examples on Carl’s Flickr page.
If you would like to order a diorama, and I personally vouch for the quality, you can contact Carl here.
The site Action Figure Fury is reporting that the UPC on the 6” Boba Fett that will be released in the 8 figure case assortment is different from the UPC of the Boba Fett released in wave 2. This presumably ties in with the change to the blue accented Black Series packaging. This could mean that we will see some clearance of the orange accented packaging with the “fall” resets.
The folks at Rebelscum have posted boxed pics of the Black Series 6” Wave 5 assortment. Head on over to check it out.
Is it me, or does the Vader helmet look…off?
Disney Consumer Products has announced what the highest selling merchandised Star Wars item is. The answer is the lightsaber (presumably as pronounced by Count Dooku).
Also, does anyone else think “Disney Consumer Products” is eerily close to “Omni Consumer Products”? Will there be ED-209s patrolling Disney Parks in the future?
We can confirm the rumor report we linked to below and a whole lot more. You definitely want to click through for this report especially if your Hasbro collecting tastes extend past the Star Wars brand. This affects many of their lines.
Head on over to our friends at Yakface for a trifecta of new 6” Black Series rumors including a prissy tin man, a snarky smuggler in disguise and a reptilian recovery agent. Also there is a rumor of a new retail paradigm.
CONFIRMED: We’ve confirmed this report and more with our source. A lot more details coming.
It was originally reported that Harrison Ford sprained his ankle in an accident involving the Millennium Falcon door. It was later said to be a fractured ankle. Now the New York Post reports that Harrison Ford may have also injured his pelvis in the accident and may have had a chest x-ray. I want to make a joke about “killing off Han Solo”, but that would be tasteless in the face of injuries that appear to be more and more serious with each report. I’ll leave that to the comment section.
IGN has provided a sneak peek to the high level details of Phineas and Ferb’s Star Wars special which airs on July 26th. There’s nothing too “spoilerific”. It will more whet your appetite. Also, they indicate that the special will re-air on Disney XD on August 4th and will be followed by an extended look at Rebels.
