Our friends at Yakface have posted some amazing custom pics of the EXACT type of figures Hasbro needs to start producing in order to re-energize the base. Local Gotal managed to produce three figures at the top of my personal wish list. Head over there to check them out.
Boba Fett?!? Where?
The pop culture extravaganza, Boston Super Megafest, is coming this November 23rd and 24th. You may remember our coverage from last year when none of other than the man himself, David Prowse, was in attendance. This year is just as exciting for Star Wars fans as the actors behind both Darth Maul AND Boba Fett will be in attendance. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Click through to visit the Super Megafest page for all the details and special guests. If you’re in the area and plan to attend, please let us know here in the comments or on our Facebook page. If there’s a big enough contingent, maybe we’ll do something Batha-tastic.
Latino Review aren’t always completely reliable, but they’re reporting that both Rachel Hurd-Wood and Alex Pettyfer have auditioned for roles in Episode VII. Hurd-Wood is supposedly trying for the role of the Solo daughter, and it’s unknown who Pettyfer is reading for. They speculated that it’s Luke’s son. They also report that LFL will officially announce some casting news very soon, possibly even today. So…stay tuned with your grains of salt.
Amazon has the Season 5 and Seasons 1-5 box sets available for pre-order.
The site tformers.com have gotten their hands on a “leaked” Toys R Us document that, for them, details news of Dinobots in Transformers 4. But for the cool kids, there’s some news at the top of the document about some lofty Star Wars plans and the curious mention of a TV/Movie in 2014 (Star Wars Rebels movie similar to the Clone Wars movie?)
Update: The link to the story is no longer active, but you can still view the image of the document HERE.
Katie, bar the door. I contend that the red carded Legacy Collection and Clone Wars figures are some of the rarest in the modern line when evaluated as a whole. If you recall back to fall of 2009, it seemed each wave would ship for about two weeks and then be quickly replaced by the next wave (it was actually quite glorious). But if you didn’t buy the figures on the first go, you were likely out of luck. The secondary value on some of the figures has reached astronomical levels. So when a single lot contains almost ALL of the rare Clone Wars figures from that line, it may be worth watching. Wow.

The seller actually has several harder to find items available in lots.
Like many of you, I’ve been at this hobby for a long, long time. So when something from the modern line pops up on Ebay that I didn’t know existed, it almost catches me by surprise. It’s not the product itself, but rather the way it was delivered. Who wouldn’t dream of an opportunity to army build this way. Can you imagine getting Vintage Collection Imperial Navy Commanders this way?

The Shadows of the Dark Side packaged Class II vehicles are on clearance at Toys R Us for $14.98. The Phantom Menace 3D Packaged Class II vehicles still ring up a full price.
It could be argued that the Thrawn Trilogy was a seminal event in Expanded Universe history. While the EU existed prior to Heir to the Empire, it precipitated an onslaught of non-movie media. We have compiled an admittedly abridged list of unproduced Thrawn Trilogy characters. Some characters were omitted due to a lack of visual reference (Chin). Others were omitted because of canonical conflicts (Judder Page). What we do have is a list of the highest priority figures from the three novels (and a mandate for the return of Comic Packs!).
We could not have completed this without the assistance of Jedi Temple Archives and their engaged and enthusiastic members. In fact, a special credit goes to JTA member Arnold Corso for being a veritable wealth of EU knowledge.
The Her Universe official Facebook fan page shared a pic of the ultimate Star Wars refrigerator. Every man needs this fridge so if his wife tries to rearrange the kitchen, he can say “I like Captain Solo where he is.”
Kenny Baker, the man behind R2-D2, turns 79 today. Join us in wishing one of the brightest and most courageous heroes of the rebellion a Happy Birthday.
