This Jedi Temple News report lets us know that wave 2 of the Black Series is likely weeks away from hitting US shores, but the news is bitter sweet.

The Lucas Film public relations portal, Obi Wants To Know Me, is soliciting feedback on the rumors of the casting of Rachel Hurd-Wood and Alex Pettyfer. Membership is via invite only. I tried to join to tell them it feels like they’re turning Star Wars into Twilight.

As I was trying to clear the Marvel Universe pegs of Wolverine line figures, one of the figures freed itself from its cardback. As the Wolverine line is also a Hasbro offering, this problem may be systemic.
Our friends at Yakface reported that Biggs and Anakin figures are showing early signs of peg warming. This weekend, I came across a Toys R Us store that had two full pegs populated with only Biggs, Anakin and Biker Scout figures with Anakin being the most prevalent and I had to post to in support of the Yakface report. In addition to the back up of these three figures, there were a few miscards in the lot. This was likely due to the bubble adhesive failure and someone taping the figure to the wrong card back.
Since the reset early last month, not a single Target store in my area has received a case of The Black Series. I don’t want the collector 3.75” line to go away, but I don’t see how it can survive in this state. After the jump, I share my thoughts on this unfortunate situation.
The resourcefull folks at either Hasbro or Toys R Us have created a new weapon to battle bubble separation.
