While I will eternally bristle at the Hasbro Angry Birds Star Wars product, I have nothing against the game itself. In fact, I find it a fun diversion. Now procrastinators can rejoice. Rovio has made Angry Birds Star Wars II a free download for iOS and Android.
First, you probably already saw the big Black Series news at our friends at Jedi Temple Archives about the massive 18 figure assortment that will launch the blue highlighted Tie Fighter Pilot Black Series cards. In addition to that, they have identified some of those 18 figures here.
Some of the figures have been rumored or shown at Toy Fair. Some are desperately needed re-releases. And one in particular has me very excited. I will just leave you with “50,000. No less.”
We’ve been meaning to resurrect our collections features and having hit the half way point of my 12 back collection this past weekend, I thought I’d start it back up with this mini-milestone.
As of this time, Ree Yees and Brock Starsher (Jabba’s Skiff Guard) are one per case. That doesn’t bode well for their brick and mortar availability. Entertainment Earth has them available for individual pre-order for $11.99.

Site sponsor Entertainment Earth has the hard to find Black Series 6” Boba Fett and Stormtrooper available for pre-order for $19.99.

The Portland Sea Dogs, AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will be hosting Star Wars night on August 16th. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite Star Wars character and the team will be sporting Chewbacca themed jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game. The Sea Dogs currently have two of the three top prospects in the Red Sox organization in C Blake Swihart and LHP Henry Owens. If you’re looking for a unique Star Wars crossover collectible, here’s a great opportunity.
Target computers have revealed some new DPCI numbers (and sadly some not new ones). Hit the read more link to….read more.
The Bad Robot Twitter Account has confirmed that Episode VII is filming in IMAX as had been rumored. Thanks to our own Darth Dre for the heads up.

The Battlefront News YouTube channel has speculated on the possibility of the Executor, Darth Vader’s Super Star Destroyer, in Battlefront 3 and offer a possible hint dropped by DICE. I for one would love a level featuring the most imposing spaceship from the entire saga.
I meant to post this when the ordering went live, but a day job and a shoddy memory prevented that. The Legend Edition eFX Scout Trooper Helmet and Pistol set is up for order. Made from the original ROTJ molds, this helmet set is limited to 500 pieces and is about half way sold through as of the time of this post. Don’t miss out.
Rebelscum has posted some high resolution images of Wave 4 of the 3.75”. I’m thrilled that I was incorrect about (not) Starsher lacking ankle articulation, but unfortunately this confirms that Ree Yees does. A Ree Yees figure needs to be able to crouch over the Racnor pit mocking the victims. Without ankle articulation, that post will be difficult.
An Ebay seller has just listed a near complete set of unpunched Vintage Collection figures. Naturally the wave 1 and 2 figures are punched. The only figures missing from the collection are VC12 - Darth Sidious, VC61 - Boba Fett (Prototype Armor), VC66 - Salacious Crumb and VC67 - Mouse Droid. The seller says most of the figures are case fresh. Wow.
Andrew’s Toys uploaded a carded pic of the upcoming white jumpsuited skiff guard from the second skiff to their Facebook page. That character is named Brock Starsher, but most fans know him as Seargeant Doallyn as he was erroneously called for year. Seargeant Doallyn actually the henchman who gets thrown down the stairs in the palace. Hasbro punted on this potential naming controversy and decided to go with a generic title on the card.
By way of full disclosure, I first saw this on Jedi Temple Archives.
This is pretty slick. A crafty fan transformed Frankfurt Airport into an Imperial Spaceport. It’s a “leaked Episode footage” spoof, It’s clearly not actual footage, but fairly well done nonetheless. Catch the ghostly image of the DS2 in orbit!
