Forum member Greg has the best swappers in his area.Today he brings us yet another swapper find.
The fan favorite Original Trilogy Collection was completed and the Revenge of the SIth figures were still a few months away. In that window, Hasbro crammed in some new figures in the “Post” OTC line that were difficult to find in the wild for the most of us. Today we look at one of those figures, Dannik Jerriko from the forefront of the cantina.
As I first feared when my Target’s reset was complete, the “Class I” vehicles have tripped out of the starting gate.
Star Wars Figuren has posted the case assortment for wave 7 of the Black Series 3.75” line.
Today we review a figure that holds a place of honor in many collections for those who own it and an object of desire for those two don’t. The Thirtieth Anniversary Collection’s Darth Revan has been an Ebay darling since the day of it’s release in 2007 and is the subject of today’s Throwback Review.
This struck me funny. You may have seen me whining about how most of the stores in my area have not been carrying the 3.75” Black Series line in 2014. There was one out of the way Walmart store that did consistently stock Black Series figures, however. Now that the fall resets are returning Black Series to almost every store, that one store, that had been consistently carrying the line, deleted the pegs and placed the figures on “clearaints”. In a direct sign of the distribution log jam at brick and mortar retail, we’re still getting reports of fresh cases of Black Series Wave 2 showing up at northeast Walmart stores. Click through for the full sized image.
Hasbro is betting the farm on Snowspeeder pilots/gunners by not only including them in back to back cases, but each is also two per case. If the brick and mortar log jam ever breaks, there’s going to be a lot of orange on the pegs. This does not bear well for the line. The second of the two Snowspeeder pilots is this Wedge Antilles figure and not only is it questionable subject matter for a mainline release, it suffers from mediocre execution.
Tim McCarver said on Family Guy, “In my view, as good as the Yankees were in the first half of this game, that’s how as bad they’ve been now.”
I need to parallel that brilliant analysis. In my view, as bad as wave 4 of the Black Seies was, that’s how good wave 5 is. The Black Series Ree-Yees figure might fall short of our “super articulated” standards, but it’s a true keeper nonetheless.
Good evening.
