A new figure was just revealed at the Unboxing Toy Convention In Mexico City. The only problem is that it’s not new.
Update: The unmasked image has been added.
A few months ago we predicted that a wave one figure from the re-launched Vintage Collection was dead on arrival. Unfortunately it appears that our crystal ball is still in tune.
We’ve reached figure VC60 in our retrospective of The Vintage Collection. We’re picking that as a nice round number to blow the whistle and head to the locker room. So take a run to the restroom, grab a snack, and check out the halftime stats…
The reveal of the new TVC Stormtrooper at SDCC was one of the highlights from the panel presentation. But there was something off. A post by Steve Evans on Instagram shows there’s still a chance to save…the Stormtrooper.
The Vintage Collection Imperial Assault Tank has barely started to trickle out, but is already fetching a premium by third party sellers. It’s early, but that bodes well for premium vehicles, and there is one that simply must be updated.
I’m not a very optimistic person. Sure, I’d love it if Hasbro keeps producing new super-articulated 3.75” figures for many years to come, but I don’t have high hopes. The rumblings of 25 figures next year (including repacks!) is not reassuring. So, if we assume that things are in the process of winding down, what figures do we need to see before the end?
With SDCC set to start in a few days, we will once again get our hopes up, and see if maybe this is the year Hasbro decides to start nailing these. But it won’t be. Prove me wrong, Hasbro. Prove me wrong.
Last week I said that these three packs write themselves. This one is so obvious that I’m tempted to just post the pic and skip the write up.
Yesterday we started pitching multi-pack product ideas and we continue today with what we feel is an absolute no-brainer.
We’ve recently called for more multi-packs in the super articulated line. Complaining without a proposed solution is whining. We’re not whiners. So today we’re going to provide an unsolicited solution.
We know that super articulated 3.75” line unfortunately won’t be returning to it’s 2009 heyday of 60 figures. This could do as much damage to the health of the line as the utterly unnecessary repacks and poor distribution.
A well-placed source has posted information on the delayed wave 2 which is set to appear in stores next month. In short, meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
Prior to the launch, false start. Number 77. Offense. The previous launch will be replayed in August.
Some guy who goes by “mrstevie18” posted a thing on Instagram yesterday…
One member of the Bantha Skull team managed to get the possible street date for The Vintage Collection Imperial Assault Tank…
