Due to unknowingly using copyrighted material, the original mock up has been removed.
Update: The original packaging mock-up has been removed. Please see the images below for a depiction of the proposed skiff.
The Vintage Collection Imperial Assault Tank has barely started to trickle out, but is already fetching a premium by third party sellers. It's early, but that bodes well for premium vehicles, and there is one that simply must be updated.
If you're having a bit of déjà vu, yes, this is the second time we've called for a new skiff. This first time was right HERE. If you click through on that link you will see the same packaging mock up pictured above in the comments. In a bit of serendipity, I reposted that original article on the Facebook group We Backed the Barge in response to David Kena who happens to be the creator of that mock up. And you think the Star Wars cinematic universe is small!
Why we are posting a second time is because that first article was merely a vague suggestion. This is a product pitch. Hasbro, what do we want? THAT. Take a look at that mock up above. Exactly that. There is enough room to pose the skiff guards in something other than a huddled clump (and they can face the bow). Additionally the plank fully extends without the annoying drop feature. We need this to pose with our upcoming Barges so Luke can offer Jabba his last chance. That is the way 90% of collectors will want to set up the Barge and Skiff tandems.
Do you want more of that glorious mock up? Of course you do. Fortunately Dave has a Facebook Page dedicated to the build of that actual skiff. Be sure to click on the photo albums such as this one.
Again, here is how proper a better scaled skiff looks when populated figures from the "prisoner skiff" (still need Vedain and Velken Tezeri, Hasbro). Well done, Dave.
Here's the shot from ROTJ
The current Hasbro/Kenner skiff. As you can see, it's quite cramped, and there's barely enough room for the as yet unproduced Vedain and Velken.
And here is the skiff as it should be.
