Ralph McQuarrie perhaps had no bigger impact on the Star Wars saga than he did with Darth Vader.  George Lucas did not plan for Vader to wear a helmet and it was though McQuarrie’s urging that one of the most iconic images and dehumanizing elements of the character was born.  For today’s Throwback Review, we look at the figure based on the Concept Darth Vader.

Hasbro is holding their annual Twas The Night Before Comic Con preview night tomorrow evening and Bantha Skull will be there.  The indomitable and irrepressible nomadscout will be on the ground, but he will be wearing his favorite proactive head gear as a precaution.  Check in tomorrow as we effort to bring and news as soon as we can.

As we’re a Boba Fett themed site, we’d better get to the Concept Boba Fett pretty quickly if we’re going to do a McQuarrie week.  Without further ado, here is 2007’s Concept Boba Fett from the 30th Anniversary Collection

In classic storyteller fashion we’re going to kick off our week of McQuarrie Signature Series reviews at the end and work our way backward.  The Concept Rebel Trooper is the last figure released in the series, but is the subject of our first review.
