It could be argued that the Thrawn Trilogy was a seminal event in Expanded Universe history.  While the EU existed prior to Heir to the Empire, it precipitated an onslaught of non-movie media. We have compiled an admittedly abridged list of unproduced Thrawn Trilogy characters.  Some characters were omitted due to a lack of visual reference (Chin).  Others were omitted because of canonical conflicts (Judder Page).  What we do have is a list of the highest priority figures from the three novels (and a mandate for the return of Comic Packs!).

Episode VII forgo digital recording and use traditional film in an effort give the new trilogy more of an original trilogy feel.  I sincerely hope that Disney elects to remake the PT at some point.

Today at Walmart, I spotted a Sith Lord of enormous proportions.  The 31” Jakks Pacific Giant Size Darth Vader figure was shelved with a price of $29.97.

Do you have at least $15,000 to spare and a child (or inner nerd) you want to spoil rotten?  The site Posh Tots is offering a generically named Deep Space Fighter Bed and Galaxy Mural starting at $15,000.  While the name might be an attempt to not infringe on LFL intellectual property, one quick look tells you it’s probably not different enough,

It’s not a new idea, and in fact our very own Chris and I were talking about a Christmas release for VII not long after the news broke about Disney acquiring the franchise. (To be fair, we were arguing for how a December, 2014 release was entirely possible…and at the time it was.)

But now it’s apparently being reported from “multiple sources” that December 15th, 2015, is the date Disney has chosen for this film’s release. If for no other reason, this makes sense with Avengers 2 coming out May 1st that same year. It wouldn’t be the best idea to get the biggest competition from another studio you own.

With the Clone Trooper Sergeant, we conclude the first wave of the 3.75” Black Series line.  For a wave I had little interest in initially, I’d sure like to find a few more in stores.
