I present to you my Vintage Collection thoughts three:
We're never going to get an update to the OT Y-Wing. That realization dawned on me last night. There is no place for it anymore. Retail won't touch vehicles anymore. The only place a Y-Wing could be realized is as a HasLab project, but there is no way it could possibly get priority over current media and more iconic OT projects such as the Death Star. Thanks a lot, "Wait For Clearance" Crowd. I hope it was worth saving $10.
I've been fiddling with the recent Greef Karga figure to get ready to photograph and review it. I don't want to spoil the review, but it's extremely posable thanks in part to the rocker ankles, which lead me to my next Vintage Collection thought: Hasbro would be justified in spending some tooling dollars to give the VC140 - Stormtrooper figure new rocker ankles, perhaps in converting it to an OT Stormtrooper. It would sell by the metric ton.
Speaking of the VC140 - Stormtrooper figure, Hasbro wisely put that tool to work - on overtime. It was quickly reused for the VC163 - Shadow Stormtrooper and the VC177 - Incinerator Trooper figures. Hasbro should do the same with their VC186 - Boba Fett figure. Give us an update to the Animated Debut Boba Fett in the mainline. Then release that figure on a replica Droids cards as an exclusive so I can die in peace. I've only been begging for a Droids carded Fett since ever.
