According to Latino Review, Pixar may be getting its own Star Wars sandbox to play in. From my perspective this seems hugely risky.  It could just as easily weaken the overall brand as it could be something fresh and brilliant.

Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have revealed the exciting case assortments for waves 4 and 5 of the Black Series.  It’s not just what’s there that is exciting.  It’s what’s not.

As we get closer to production, it’s important to set expectations on the news that is delivered.  These are just rumors and should only be considering talking points and not things to get your hopes up for. Having said that, I LOVE everything that is being discussed.

A wave 3 revision case has showed up on the web site of a European Hasbro distributor for March delivery.  This horrible case assortment brings more unneeded Biggs and Anakin figures to market while dropping two of the new figures, Merumeru and Windu.  Like David Hasselhoff, lets hope this stays a European problem (but it probably won’t).  If this hits US shores not only will the new figures from wave 4 be delayed, but retail will become an utter log jam.

Important note:  The jury may still be out on this.  The contents list in the description does not match the image.  I’m inclined to believe the image is correct because the content list matches wave 3 exactly and does not represent a revision.  But we’ll have to monitor this.

This is so cool.  The artist Vesa Lehtimäki (aka Avanaut) has combined highly detailed Star Wars models with some trick photography to make it look like Star Wars vehicles are truly visiting the 3rd rock from the sun.

Going hand in hand with the script change rumors mentioned in the post below is a new set of casting rumors.  These rumors finally make me feel like Episode VII IS NOT being adapted from some young reader romance novel when every casting rumor seemed to mirror the latest cover of Teen Beat magazine.

I’ve been worried about the direction Episode VII was supposedly heading, so this latest rumor is music to my ears.
