The POTF ‘85 Yak Face figure was already a legendary collector piece when the modern line launched in 1995.  Two years later when it’s ONLY modern counterpart arrived on the scene, it was greeted with the Price Is Right fail horns.  We examine this unfortunate plastic effigy for today’s Throwback Review.

Julian57 from our forums posed a simple question.  How easily can the unfortunate head of the just released 6” Death Star II Luke be swapped with the head of the previously released Bespin fatigues Luke Skywalker?  Click through for the results.  It makes a world of difference.

As the new Black Series 6” Sandtrooper Sergeant eludes me, we are forced to look at a figure from days gone by.  For today’s Throwback Review we consider 2006’s Saga Collection Princess Leia in Boushh disguise.

Please not that all credit for this photo goes to Rebelscum forum member BobaFrank82.  I have only copied it here for the purpose of annotation.  As an incentive to click through to his post, I can tell you that his post also includes a picture of the outside of the case.  What his picture shows is that 3 of the 8 figures in Walgreens cases are the Prototype Armor Boba Fett.  It’s the only figure at three per case.  Click through for the full sized image.

If you get the nonsensical title of this post, you are certifiably insane (or watch too much Family Guy).  Moving along, I have 100% confirmation that the Walgreen’s stores throughout my area are receiving TWO 6” Black Series figures per shipment despite living in the third most densely populated state in the union.  When I see this post by our friends at Jedi Temple Archives it just makes me wonder how on earth the distribution decisions are made.  Trust me when I say the tease thumbnail below is just the tip of the iceberg.

Rebelscum has posted pics of a couple Disney Store “figure” sets (not to be confused with the Hasbro action figure line).  Since the community now hates articulation and quality, this should be a huge hit.

Cue the AC/DC because for Friday, we go back in black.  Jedi Knight / Death Star II Luke Skywalker figures are among the most popular for that character.  Today we review Hasbro’s first rendition of a Death Star II Luke Skywalker in the 6” scale.

Hasbro made us wait for the mighty Chewbacca in the 6” scale.  Originally slated for wave 4, it was delayed until wave 5.  The early results are in and it was well worth the wait.

I almost fainted when I saw my Target had stocked it’s first collector line 3.75” figure in over a year.  But joy quickly turned to sadness.  Click through for the rest.

You’ve heard me say several times that I wish the 6” scale did not exist.  Were it not for this site, I would not have purchased a single one.  That is with the exception of Darth Vader.  I’m a sucker for Darth Vader product.  Today we review the Black Series 6” Darth Vader complete with 29 photos.
