File this under “Odd Things About Star Wars I Didn’t Know.” Apparently Star Wars and Apple share a common inspiration: each other…
We were alerted to a Fortune article by a post from our friends at Jedi Temple Archives about Hasbro’s Q2 financial results taking a beating. But a deeper look may show that there is very little that indicates anything bad long term, so you Hasbro haters should pump the brakes a bit…
Guest Contributor mazlow01 returns to review his Smuggler’s Bounty from Funko. Read on for a detailed review of the mystery contents…
A British neuroscientist who writes for Discover Magazine‘s online edition under the name “Neuroskpetic” decided to sting a segment of the “scientific” community using a reference to a hated piece of Star Wars canon…
One analysis we stumbled on draws a conclusion as to the fundamental business reason for the construction of Galaxy’s Edge: Cord-Cutting.
As always, there was a lot going on at SDCC. We’ve rounded up a bunch of Star Wars news in one place, but also threw in a couple of non-Star Wars items that we liked…
Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have teamed up with Victoria’s Cantina (YouTube channel / Twitter) to provide a Hasbro Q&A from SDCC. There is a lot of Vintage Collection information revealed here, but connecting the dots, I feel like we’re in familiar Vintage Collection territory. I feels like “wait ‘til next year” again. But there is reason for our core audience to be excited.
We’ve just received word from Litzky PR that the availability date for the SDCC exclusives on Hasbro Toy Shop has been changed to September. No specific date was given and the listings on HTS no longer show a specific order date. Since these exclusives will also be sold at HASCON in early September, it’s a safe bet the availability date will be after that. Click through for text of the actual announcement…
Star Wars Action News is livestreaming the Hasbro Panel at SDCC on their Facebook page.
If you couldn’t follow along, click through, as we live updated based on SWAN’s video…
UPDATE: Presentation is over…
At the advice and lead of our colleagues, we have removed this story. I am leaving this place holder only to address Litzky PR.
LitzkyPR: If you attempted to contact us to request a take down, it appears we are not receiving your electronic communications.
Yep, forget that crappy 6” Landspeeder. There’s no room on your shelf, anyway. But you’d better find room in your garage for this baby…
Bantha Skull is forced to call for a boycott of Conan O’Brien after Team Coco’s highly offensive “Road to San Diego” video. This is outrageous! Click through to see the video. The offensive material comes at the 0:39 mark. This insult will not stand!
Sideshow and Hot Toys are on a roll. Here are three more Sixth Scale figures that were shown at the Sideshow Booth at SDCC today…
Since Chris decided (unilaterally) that he was going to spend the entirety of the accumulated wealth in Bantha Skull’s war chest on a new Commando 8 (installed), we were left with nothing to fund a trip to SDCC. It’s not the same there without the Chargers, so in the end, Chris probably made the right call.
Instead, we recommend you check out some pics taken by our colleagues at Yodasnews, and posted on their Instagram account. They have pics of items at many different SW licensee booths. It should be well known by now that we are not fans of the 6” line, but nevertheless, it’s worth checking our their video of an incredible 6” scale A New Hope diorama at the Hasbro booth.
While it is amazing to behold, it also does have the unintentional effect of showing the immense quantity of real estate necessary to properly show off these 6” things in your home.
Check it out, and let us know your thoughts in the comments…
