The Sail Barge campaign is definitely piquing interests from long-time collectors whose interest in the hobby has lapsed, and even from those outside the hardcore collector community.  The problem is that the nature of the platform, and the messaging through fan sites, has been confusing for those first time or lapsed collectors.  Click through for answers to some of the most frequently asked questions Bantha Skull has received (and is still receiving).  You can share this with your friends who may still have questions.

I’ve been called many things, but one label that seems to have stuck is that of the Worst Collector in the World.  The evaluation apparently stems from my refusal to mindlessly buy things I don’t really want.  Click through to learn about a thing I don’t really want that I’m buying anyway and why you should too.

Issues 7-12 of Star Wars were collected in Star Wars Vol. 2: Showdown on the Smuggler’s Moon. Written by Jason Aaron with art by Simone Bianchi in issue 7 and Stuart Immonen in the remainder, the volume starts with a tale from the journal of Old Ben Kenobi…

We’re in the final stretch.  We have 10 days to go as of midnight Sunday morning, 22 minutes ago from when this story was published.  (We’ll probably say we’re in the final stretch when we’re a week out, 5 days out, 3 days out, and 24 hours out, but just go with it for now…).  Let’s take a closer look at what we need to happen over the next 10 days…

Walmart has lost exclusivity of the super articulated figures, so it logically follows that in an act of revenge, they are looking to destroy their current inventory of Star Wars toys by blowing them out at silly prices.  It’s a dream come true for BigJim.

There’s no better way to wash away the stink of “Coby and the Starhunters” than jumping ahead to “The Great Heep”.  Though this double-length special episode originally ran 6 months after the series ended, it fits chronologically between episodes 9 and 10 of the original run.  This episode introduces Mungo Baobab, and begins the story arc written by Star Wars legend, Oscar winner, and frequent Bantha Skull visitor*, Ben Burtt.  Enjoy!

On Wednesday, Hasbro dropped the game changing news that the Sail Barge will include a Vintage Collection Yak Face on an exclusive POTF ‘85 replica bi-lingual card.  We immediately had a pretty good idea of how much that figure would fetch on the secondary market.  Thanks to the Q&A conducted on Thursday, we feel like we can zero in on that value even more…

Do you remember the bubblegate fiasco from Phase I of the Black Series (and other lines of the time)? It was a vexing time.  Unfortunately a new report from our friends at Jedi Temple Archives is troubling.  Hit the jump for the details.

The return of the Vintage Collection is upon us.  The Khetanna campaign has inspired us to take a look back at the 115+ carded figures that already exist.  The purpose is to take a closer look at these figures to see if they have aged well, and then recommend what Hasbro should do going forward with each one.
