Obi-Wan vows that no matter how dull the next 16 years may be, he will not watch a single episode of Girls.
Omega Underground reports on the possible working title for the as yet to be official Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone movie:
Today, we at Omega Underground have uncovered the production title for the upcoming Star Wars anthology film featured around Obi-Wan Kenobi. According to a recent listing for Obi-Wan: A Star Wars Story the working title is Joshua Tree.
Omega Underground themselves lay claim to revealing "Red Cup" as the correct production title for the still untitled Han Solo film, as well as "Space Bears" for The Last Jedi. If this is true, then they may know what they're talking about.
So what does this mean? If this production title is any indication, then it harkens to the deserts of southern California, where Joshua trees can be found. Most readers know that several of the OT scenes of Tatooine were filmed nearby in Death Valley, and other desert spots in California. The title would indicate something most of us would have predicted, that Obi-Wan's potential standalone story would take place on Tatooine. This rumor may not be surprising, but may be of some comfort to fans that fear Obi-Wan's adventures between ROTS and ANH would somehow force him to travel away from Tatooine, where he should be watching young Skywalker with at least some passing interest. He's got one job: to lay low and protect Luke, instead of galavanting across the galaxy on some damn fool idealistic crusade.
