In general, the product that is shown in a given live stream results from the oldest unaccounted for pipeline reveals from previous live streams. Rarely these days does it seem that we get a product reveal that wasn't previously heralded. Well, if we look at San Diego Comic Con presentation, the pipelines were fairly lackluster. Aside from Count Dooku, those reaveals were mostly repacks and minor retools (and not the exciting kind). That makes me wonder what could be shown during Hasbro Pulse Con. What are they going to do? Show me the Finn figure I already own and never asked to be repacked:
I have a feeling that the most exciting stuff is too far out to actually be shown, so I’m setting my expectations low for Vintage Collection main line product reveals. The one thing that would really make me happy is seeing the new HK-47 figure. I campaigned for a re-release of the Legacy Collection one HERE before vintage collection 2.0 even launched. The pipelined HK-47 is most assuredly not a repack of the TLC figure, the tooling for which is definitely not unlost. It's likely based on the upcoming HK-87 figure. I'm dying to see it.
Then, of course, there's also this line from the PRESS RELEASE:
Word on the Holonet is there may also be a few surprises…
I'm fairly certain that line has been used for every previous Pulse Con (and maybe other streams). Of course that doesn't indicate for which product the statement applies, so it may be dangerous to hope we'll get a Vintage Collection surprise. I'll be honest, though I don't have any direct sources, I do keep my ear to the ground, and I don't know of anything that could be an "OMG" moment on the horizon. That doesn't mean there couldn't be one. I was completely blindsided (in a good way) by the Droids Boba Fett. It was kinda of nice. As far as what would surprise me for this Pulse Con, it's something I've flip flopped on a lot:
It would marry perfectly with the pipelined Episode IV Darth Vader.
