A fan-favorite character from the well loved Knights of the Old Republic video games, HK-47 is immortalized in plastic via the Build-a-Droid line.
Darth Revan had built and programmed this hunter-killer droid to assassinate his enemies. As part of the programming, HK-47 had his mind wiped, and only completing his mission would allow him to return to his master. After Revan was captured by the Jedi, he had his own mind erased. Neither he nor HK-47 knew who the other really was, as they had rejoined on a mission to locate and destroy the Star Forge. An encounter with the treacherous Darth Malek triggered both Revan and HK to recall their past association, and they then worked together to eventually succeed in destroying the Star Forge. After completing the mission, Revan left HK-47 with his wife, Bastia Shan. The droid had a bunch of adventures, including leading a revolt by HK-50 models, yadda yadda yadda, he survived into the era of the Galactic Republic. HK-47’s canonicity was wiped out with the Disney purge of 2014.
This one of the best BAD’s ever made. The sculpt is great, as the figure is almost fully superarticulated, lacking only ball-jointed shoulders. The paint is applied well, especially the metallic wash that gives the droid a worn look. HK-47 includes a blaster rifle, and can even perform a THWG.
HK-47 is a must own for fans of KOTOR, droids, Star Wars, food, puppies, or life itself. Only a meatbag wouldn’t want this figure in their collection.
