There have been some shocking results in the first round of this year's Vintage Collection March Madness. Both of the finalists from Last Figure Standing, The Tonnika Sisters and Momaw Nadon, have been eliminated. This is likely due to the natural demographic differences in the respective organizers' core audiences, but that shouldn't preclude us from getting out the vote. The final set of matchups for the first round are being voted on today at the following link:
This is an important day for the #MakeTheMains cause. C-3PO is up against Savage Opress and Han Solo is up against Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. Both of the opponents are darlings of the kinder-corps of the fandom. Are you old heads going to let them stick it to you again? My gut feeling is that, of all the mains, C-3PO and Han Solo are going to need a surge from fans to get them into Hasbro's plan. I'm also slowly coming around to the opinion that 3PO is the highest priority main due to the sheer number of dioramas in which goldenrod is needed. The fact that the tooling could be used to crank out innumerable legitimate and wanted repaints is the gravy on top.
Obviously, Han Solo speaks for himself, but if there needs to be additional enticement, the tooling could be partial reused for a new Bespin Han, and as a correction to the unfortunate VC281 - Han Solo. I can sense the comment section getting more dispirited every day that goes by without an announcement of updates to Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Ben Kenobi. Well, you can't complain if you don't vote. Hit the link above (or below) and help 3PO and Han Solo make it through. If we don't, it makes it easier for Hasbro to kick those figures to "next year" in perpetuity ugh. Complacency doesn't get results.
