The Uncanny Ways That Star Wars: Droids Was A Preview Of Future Star Wars

I decided that due to my utter obsession with Droids toys that I should watch the show, and I mean really watch the show. Not post-2020 "watch" which equates to streaming it on the TV while my head is buried in my phone and/or laptop. I wanted to pay attention enough to at least give a c-grade worthy book report on the subject. I was determined to grit through the horribleness one episode at a time, but I was shocked to find out that it's not that terrible once you get past the notorious lack of quality control in 80's Saturday morning cartoons. I particularly liked it when Jessica Meade was talking, but Jann Tosh's lips were moving. She's one heck of a ventriloquist.
I think CJ was trying to tell us that Droids was certainly no worse than the less spectacular episodes of The Clone Wars when he reviewed all 14 episodes back in 2018. You can read his reviews HERE. I'm not through the entire series. I'm only up to episode 10, but I have to say that episode 5, The Lost Prince, stopped me in my tracks because it contains mini-beats that we would see again in the Prequel Trilogy. I have a theory that might explain why this happed. In 1985, George Lucas thought he was done making Star Wars movies forever, so he handed over his "cool ideas" notebook for the Droids writers to mine. Incidentally, one of those writers was theJoe Johnston. Then when it came time to make the PT, Lucas took his ideas back like the Fonz in The Water Boy. That's my theory, anyway.
I think it's pretty clear that two small conceptual or design elements from The Lost Prince were reused in the Prequel Trilogy. Let's take a look.
The Lost Prince has an establishing shot outside a diner:

Want more? After Jann Tosh foils Kleb Zellock's plan to buy the organic Mon Julpa in a droid auction (you have to watch it), he escapes on a giant wheel:
That's Zellock's henchman, Yorpo Mog, getting thrown from Jann's wheel bike.

Well, I've convinced me. How about you? Next I could do an entire article on the parallels between Kybo Ren and Kylo Ren, but it would work out much better for me if CJ does it. Also, the mining droids from this episode look like they inspired the Republic security droids in The Mandalorian.
