Hasbro has repeatedly asked the community which figures would make for smart repacks. So long as we wait for a re-release of VC68 - Rebel Soldier (Echo Base Battle Gear), I feel like I'm done answering that question. If you are not going to repack this figure, Hasbro, you are simply not listening, so why should we waste our breath? This figure has been a heavily requested repack since the return of the Vintage Collection was announced in 2017!.

The Rebel Soldier (Echo Base Battle Gear) never met demand. Do you get that? The demand side of this figure was not satisfied in 2011. So a number of collectors from 2011, who are still active today, will want a chance to purchase multiples of this army building figure. Plus you can add the considerable amount of new fans who joined the hobby since 2011 for whom the secondary market prices are too steep.

I take the future of the 3.75" scale as importantly as one can take something that is a pastime. I would never intentionally do anything to jeopardize it. With that said, I feel completely at ease suggesting this figure's re-release.

Put it in Fan Channel. Put it in mainline. Heck, remove it from the space time continuum of the line and just make it available via solid cases without actually being assigned to an assortment. I don't care. Just get this figure back out in the market. It should have been there this year for the 40th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back.

Lastly, if there are any retailers reading this, STEP UP TO THE DAMN PLATE. There is opportunity. Someone needs to start getting predatory with exclusives that isn't named Walmart. You could steal a lot of sunlight form your competitors.
