I've got some doodads for you to look at.

Previous parts can be found here if you missed them or are interested in looking again:
PART I: CIS Droids
PART II: CIS Factions and Leadership
PART III: Naboo
PART IV: Coruscant
PART V: Clone Troopers (Phase I)

Ha! You thought I was going to follow up last week's Phase I Clone troopers with Phase II...joke's on you! I'm breaking it up a bit with something else. But don't worry, clone fans. They'll be back soon enough.

This setup took me forever. There are quite a few Jedi figures, but I decided to limit this particular deep dive to just one per character. So even though there aren't a metric F-ton of Jedi characters on the scale of clone variants, the real headache was trying to match up the lightsabers with the proper figure. And even still, I probably only have about a 90% success rate. As I'm still in the process of setting up my collection, I have many of these figures in those Container Store plastic shoe boxes. And even though I tried to keep all the accessories together, inevitably there's been some swaps between bins, some tragic losses, and most maddeningly, breakage of those hellspawn removable blades that were all the rage around 2002.

The vast majority of Jedi figures are from the prequel/Clone Wars era, of course. There are a few survivors of the Order 66 Purge, and then we have the main characters from the Original Trilogy and the sequels.

There are tons of variants of these characters. There are many legit outfit changes for characters like Luke, Obi-Wan, and Anakin. But even some of the secondary Jedi have some alternative looks, mostly from the Clone Wars. I'll maybe save all the different looks of various Jedi characters for another time.

Leading the parade, front of center, we have the main Jedi featured across the Saga. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luke, Yoda, Grogu, Ashoka, and Rey. I included Grogu because he trained with Luke for 15 minutes at his weird academy. I just picked one good figure for each of them for the purposes of this feature. One character I omitted that is at least Jedi-adjace is Leia. I believe we have 2 Leia figures that feature her from EU sources as a Jedi. One of them is from the "infinities" series, which wasn't canon even during the EU time, and the other was a terrible 5POA figure from the 1998 POTF2 "Expanded Universe" subline. I meant to include that one, but couldn't find the lightsaber, so I left her out due to spite and frustration. We don't have a "Training Leia" from the TROS flashback scene, nor do we have a proper figure of Leia from TLJ when she used The Force to survive getting blown up in space.

Right behind them is the Jedi Council Chamber, which is one of my favorite environmental pieces Hasbro has offered, although it definitely isn't perfect. The Council was offered in multipacks, which included some Jedi figures, along with chairs, and some parts of the chamber itself. When you put it all together, you have an impressive scene. My biggest complaint is the stupid hologram stand is basically permanent, and that kind of ruins the aesthetic a bit. I also would have wished that every figure could sit. Some of the included figures did not have knees, so figures like Depa Billaba aren't able to take a seat. Dumb!

There are a few other pieces that can go along with the Jedi Temple. The most interesting one is the the Count Dooku bust/pedestal, with hidden Jedi Holocron. I wish there were more of these, so you could set up more of the Temple area. This accessory came with Jocasta Nu. (Some day CJ will post his collection of Jedi Librarians.) We've also got the research droids, Yoda's floating bean bag thing, and a training remote. Specific to the Temple, we've got several youngling figures. Some were offered as part of the main line, and others were a set made for Disney. It's a nice little subset to add some depth to your shelf. We've got 7 younglings, (not including Anakin), and an unnamed Padawan. To round out the Temple scenery, we've got a Jedi Turbo Speeder, a sweet ride for these guys to get around town.

The other major group of Jedi are the ones from AOTC, specifically the Battle of Geonosis. This whole scene is one of the most complete when it comes to figures and toys. There were a gazillion Jedi that fought at Petranaki Arena, and Hasbro gave us just about every one that can be identified on screen, along with a couple of other "just off screen" characters. You can get the full breakdown in our Scene It for the Geonosis arena battle. There were a bunch of Jedi that fought and died in the battle, but we also have the complete "Survivors' Circle," so nice job there, Hasbro!

Then we have many figures from other sources, and they span thousands of years of Star Wars history - much of which is no longer canon. We've got figures from the Genndy micro series, The Clone Wars series, various comic books and novels, and some of my favorite video games. The last is one of my favorite sources for figures. I'm a huge fan of Kyle Katarn and Cal Kestis, among other characters.

Many of the older figures could use an update, but there are so many little known characters here that it would seem to not be worth it. But characters like Ki-Adi Mundi are among the most requested by collectors.

Overall, I'd have to say Hasbro has done a great job of giving us so many Jedi figures. Other than an update or two to an existing character, maybe a Training Leia, I can't think of too much more that I'd want.

So anyway, show us your Jedi in the comments below!
