Geonosis 5 - Jedi Survivors Circle

Description:

The Jedi Strike Team moved into Petranaki Arena to rescue Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padmé from Count Dooku. The participants believed that by showing up in force (212 strong), they would resolve the situation peacefully. However, a massive droid army emerged onto the arena floor and attacked. After a fierce battle, the surviving Jedi were hopelessly encircled at the center of the arena. Dooku called a momentary ceasefire, which gave Yoda and the newly conscripted Clone Trooper forces time to save the survivors.

Action Figures/Items Used:
The following figures were used in the above photos. These figures represent what the Bantha Skull staff considers as the best version of the respective characters. Click through on the following entries to go to that figure's full gallery. If that figure was part of a multi-pack, you will be brought to the gallery for just that figure. From there you can click through to the parent set.

* Bantha Skull is compensated for any purchases made through any Ebay links that may appear below.

Notes:
  • Many of the Jedi figures in our diorama are sourced from Revenge of the Sith, but the differences in their appearances between the two films, if there are any, are negligible.

  • Ki-Adi Mundi and Saesee Tiin are the oldest figures in our group (both from 2005) and are in dire need of updating. The other minor Jedi figures are perhaps good enough for now, even if they lack the most modern articulation.

  • Joclad Danva is listed on the official site as initially being a part of the circle, and then almost immediately he "must have succumbed to his injuries." There is no mention of the editing errors that brought him back to life in at least two different subsequent shots, before he can be seen dead for good on the ground just prior to the evacuation.

  • Anakin and Obi-Wan were weaponless coming into the battle. They were given spare lightsabers. In the photos, both figures are weilding spare lightsabers from other toys (Anakin/Green and Obi-Wan/Blue).

  • Shaak Ti is all over the place in the scene. As the Circle forms, she is at the 3 o'clock position. A few seconds later she has jumped to about 12 o'clock. And still a few seconds later, she's at about 9 o'clock. This, coupled with all the non-canon behind-the-scenes shots in ROTS of Shaak Ti's various deaths, seems to prove she is very good at not dying.

  • There are plenty of Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids to choose from. For BD's, there isn't necessarily a particularly great figure available, due to the design of the character not being friendly to the 3.75" scale. However, we recommend the TLC2 "Droid Factory" (Amazon) version, which is a fine repaint of the TVC figure, to reflect the Geonosis battle. As for SBD's, the best sculpt available is the one that was part of the Geonosis Arena Showdown 2 pack with Obi-Wan (Target), as it has articulated ankles. The same sculpt (sadly minus the ankles) was painted with a superior look in TVC, so we chose that figure.

  • The Missing:
These are characters that belong in this scene for which Hasbro has never made a figure. These characters are all featured in our Unproduced Character Guide which we have affectionately nicknamed Missing In Action Figure or M.I.A.F. for short. Clicking through on the following entries will bring you to the M.I.A.F. entry for that character.

    Scene Complete
To the best of the knowledge of the staff at Bantha Skull, all of the characters from this scene have been made as action figures! There are no missing characters. However, in the opinion of the staff, one or more of the figures needs to be updated or resculpted.
