Is LEGO Basing Their USC Projects On TVC Wishlists?

LEGO has done it again. The Ultimate Collector Series Landspeeder will be dropping on Star Wars Day this year:


When fans bemoan the lack of mid-sized vehicles in the Vintage Collection, they often cite a re-release of the Landspeeder as a solution. In fact, we wrote about it HERE. If you click through on that article, you will see that we also mentioned that the Republic Gunship needs to be rereleased in TVC. Well, guess what the previous Star Wars UCS set was:


But wait! There's more. One of the most iconic vehicles in the history of Star Wars is the AT-AT. If you want a loose complete version of the 2010 "Dark Clouds" packaged (technically still Legacy Collection) one, it will set you back $300+. If you want a sealed version of the TVC release, expect to fork over a car payment. For that reason, fans have been clamoring for its rerelease. Well...


If the next UCS set is the Shuttle Tydirium, I'm calling shenanigans. I'm joking of course. This is all coincidental, but LEGO really is releasing a lot of product that scratches me where I itch. If the 3.75" action figure scale ever goes on hiatus again, I might consider the jump.
