These World Building Items Are Too Inaccessible For The Average Fan

First, the two HasLab items are not on this list because they are a different animal. The point of his article is to urge Hasbro to help out collectors by getting these items back on the market so that the disproportionate secondary market prices can be avoided. HasLab items probably can't be re-released, so they are not up for consideration. The following items are items that I consider staples for any collection, and most fans who don't already have them will probably have to go without unless Hasbro steps up to the plate.

1. Republic Gunship

This is definitely the most serious item on the list. While the occasional deal can be found, the Vintage Collection Republic Gunship is going to cost you somewhere around $700. Clones are evergreen and we're certainly getting a lot of them in the line right now. Collectors need access to their drop ship. Even with today's sky high prices, I have to imagine that Hasbro could bring this big boy in at around $300. Compared to Ebay prices, that would be a kindness.

2. Jabba's Throne

You can currently order the amazing Boba Fett's Throne Room on Hasbro Pulse HERE. Since that is the same exact throne room that Jabba occupied in Return of the Jedi, fans will naturally want to convert it over to an Episode VI display, but in order to do so, they'll need the big man himself, the railing and his hookah. If you want to buy the 2010 version of what I've described, it will cost you nearly as much as the entire Throne Room itself! Again, it feels like Hasbro could deliver something like this for $100 or less today, which would be a big saving for fans, but don't hold your breath on Oola being re-released. As a reminder, we want the Sail Barge Jabba to be re-released and not the 2010 version which has become stickier than a Whacky Wall Walker.

3. Luke's Landspeeder

This one is on the list because it feels somewhat unnecessary for us to be in this position. If you want a Vintage Collection Luke's Landspeeder, expect to shell out around $200 for a sealed sample. The small and midsized vehicle segment has seemed to completely disappear. When it comes to vehicles, we get the impression that Hasbro doesn't know a number between $0 and $80. That alone prices out some collectors. Even with this new reality of Monopoly money pricing, a Landspeeder feels like it could come in under $50 (and hopefully around $40). This is the perfect item for something between a figure and a $100 X-Wing.

I probably missed some. Call them out in the comments. These are just the things that have been on my mind lately (especially since I don't currently own a Gunship). Don't forget that the five Walmart exclusive figures go up for presale at 1PM ET today. Check back here and we will have all the links up at around 12:55, and hopefully they go live on time.
