This figure is brilliant.  Kit Fisto is a character that Hasbro was slowly circling.  They finally got serious and nailed the definitive version right down to ball jointed hips which allow for some great Jedi fighting poses.  Now we just need the smiling version with the force push hand and Hasbro can just keep cranking out those two versions until the line ends. 10 out of 10.

Still a great figure.  Lots of articulation and posability (notice that he can balance on one foot in the gallery above).  The head sculpt and his “tentacles” are incredibly detailed, and make for one of the best all around portraits of any 3.75” figure you’ll see.  The figure already has “Jedi-friendly” ball-jointed hips, and perhaps would only need ball jointed wrists to make it any better.  A lit saber and a hilt are included, as is a peg hole on the belt.  The Jedi robe works decently with Kit’s bulky frame.  My only complaint is that even with the big-ish arms, the figure can only barely execute a THWG.  It would be nice if he could hold his saber with two hands above his head like he does when charging into battle on the arena floor at Geonosis.

This version of Kit Fisto is more closely sculpted to match his appearance in Revenge of The Sith.  Notice that the head sculpt has a total of two tentacles (one on each side) draped down the figure’s chest.  In Attack of the Clones, Kit Fisto was seen with a total of four tentacles (two on each side) draped down the character’s chest, in pairs which appear to be tied together with a band of some kind.  It would also seem as if the costume designers gave the character a slightly different facial expression, with the eyes looking to be larger in the ROTS than they were in AOTC.  The issue for carded collectors is that the card art and film designation is from AOTC, rather than the more appropriate ROTS.  It seems Hasbro had plans to make a running change to an ROTS cardback.  Some cardbacks from other figures in the wave were updated for later releases to show Fisto on an ROTS card, but the Fisto figure itself never had the running change as planned.  If you’re not a carded collector, this isn’t important.  I have no problem displaying this figure on a shelf for either film, but it is more perfectly suited for ROTS.  As mentioned in the first review, an alternate version with a smiling face (with 2 forward tentacles instead of 4) and a swappable force-push hand would be awesome to more perfectly represent the AOTC version.

As a bit of timely trivia, the homeworld for Kit Fisto’s Nautolan species is called Glee Anselm.  According to a Solo sourcebook, Tobias Beckett was from there.

Verdict:  No Action

Carded Fistos go for a modest premium on eBay, but nothing spectacular.  AOTC is pretty much in the doghouse for now, anyway.  This figure represents the definitive ROTS Kit Fisto, and a darn good AOTC one, to boot.  Hasbro nailed it here, and without a huge surge in popularity expected any time soon, should not bother with a re-issue.

Verdict Guide:
Re-sculpt = The figure is not definitive, and a new version should be developed.
Re-issue = This version is definitive (or close enough), and shows sufficient secondary market demand to warrant a straight repack.
No Action = This release does not require new attention.
