We won’t be waiting 16 years for a new Star Wars movie after the conclusion of the Sequel Trilogy. According to Disney Execs, Star Wars Episode VII will be released in 2015, and followed by Episodes VIII and IX, with long-term plans including a “new Star Wars film every two to three years.”
This is better news than a new EV-9D9 figure:
I can say safely that this is the biggest news story ever mentioned on this site.
Disney is buying Lucasfilm for $4 billion
I don’t know why, but this news makes me nervous.
Special thanks to forum member Greg for bringing this to our attention. HOLY BLEEPIN’ BLEEP. EPISODE VII IS ANNOUNCED FOR 2015!!!!!!
Bringing the story of the Toys R Us SOTDS vehicle 2-packs full circle, starwarscollector.com has photographic proof of the Anakin Starfighter / Mandalorian Shuttle 2-pack. Click through for confirmation.
Update: Our friends at both Jedi Temple Archives and Yakface are reporting that the ultra rare MANDALORIAN SHUTTLE is being found in these value packs!
Some of the later (and scarcer) Shadows of the Dark Side vehicles are showing up at Toys R Us as part of a specially priced 2-pack. There are three 2-packs per case and are priced at $39.99. The 2-pack tandems I saw were:
I don’t know if these are the only combinations to be found or if the contents will vary from case to case. Click the thumbnails below for a larger view:
Bring on the Barge! We have partnered with several other fan sites to solicit support for a 3-3/4? scale Jabba’s Sail Barge Vehicle/Playset. Hasbro has shown interest in building such a vehicle but we need to let them know WE WANT IT by gathering as many signatures as possible and presenting them to the Star Wars brand team at Toy Fair. Head on over to show your support by signing the petition and thanks to all of our colleagues for working together in this collaborative effort.

Of course, but the time I checked, the Imperial Navy Commander was already out of stock. For my response to having missed the Imperial Navy Commander once again you’ll have to…
Well this is disappointing. Despite an invite (click thumbnail below) that sure seemed to intimate that 2013 Star Wars product would be shown, the only Star Wars related product was the MTT and the Angry Birds cross over items. I think young Ralph Parker summed it up best when he decoded the Little Orphan Annie secret message: son-of-a-b…
Yeah, we’ll be there too. You got a problem with that, tough guy?
Check back tomorrow night for pictures from the display floor at Hasbro’s New York Comic Con preview which promises to show “some” of the 2013 figures. I just hope it goes beyond the stuff that was already shown at Celebration VI.
In a sign that we’re inching closer to Wave 16’s arrival, an Ebay seller from California has some of the figures from the online only wave in stock for $24.99 with free shipping.
Yet another terrific vehicle stuck in the nether regions of the 2012 distribution pipeline, Banthaskull is lucky to have our hands on one of these thanks in large part to the generosity of the great folks at Big Bad Toy Store!
