We won’t be waiting 16 years for a new Star Wars movie after the conclusion of the Sequel Trilogy. According to Disney Execs, Star Wars Episode VII will be released in 2015, and followed by Episodes VIII and IX, with long-term plans including a “new Star Wars film every two to three years.”
This is better news than a new EV-9D9 figure:
I can say safely that this is the biggest news story ever mentioned on this site.

Update: Our friends at both Jedi Temple Archives and Yakface are reporting that the ultra rare MANDALORIAN SHUTTLE is being found in these value packs!
Some of the later (and scarcer) Shadows of the Dark Side vehicles are showing up at Toys R Us as part of a specially priced 2-pack. There are three 2-packs per case and are priced at $39.99. The 2-pack tandems I saw were:
- Xanadu Blood and Jedi Starfighter (blue)
- Droid Gunship and V-19 Torrent
- AV-7 Mobile Cannon and Obi Wan’s Jedi Starfighter

Check back tomorrow night for pictures from the display floor at Hasbro’s New York Comic Con preview which promises to show “some” of the 2013 figures. I just hope it goes beyond the stuff that was already shown at Celebration VI.
In a sign that we’re inching closer to Wave 16’s arrival, an Ebay seller from California has some of the figures from the online only wave in stock for $24.99 with free shipping.
