Disney’s Star Tours ride will be getting a much anticipated overhaul at both the Disneyland Resort in California and the Disney Hollywood Studios (MGM) in Florida by 2011. The ride will take on the look and feel of the highly popular pod racing sequence from The Phantom Menace, which celebrates it’s 10th anniversary this year. When TPM first premiered, it was rumored that the Star Tours rides would be overhauled for this new look, but it never surfaced. It looks like it finally is going to happen. Fresh from SDCC09 comes news of yet another Fans Choice poll. This time around it’s fan sites that will be submitting characters. Each site can submit 30 characters suggestions to Hasbro, they will compile the top contenders and they will be made in plastic form in the near future. Jump into our forums and vote for your own top ten. We will then choose the top thirty from there and submit them to Hasbro. There are rules and such, so check it all out here.
