Well this is disappointing. Despite an invite (click thumbnail below) that sure seemed to intimate that 2013 Star Wars product would be shown, the only Star Wars related product was the MTT and the Angry Birds cross over items. I think young Ralph Parker summed it up best when he decoded the Little Orphan Annie secret message: son-of-a-b…
Yeah, we’ll be there too. You got a problem with that, tough guy?
Check back tomorrow night for pictures from the display floor at Hasbro’s New York Comic Con preview which promises to show “some” of the 2013 figures. I just hope it goes beyond the stuff that was already shown at Celebration VI.
Yet another terrific vehicle stuck in the nether regions of the 2012 distribution pipeline, Banthaskull is lucky to have our hands on one of these thanks in large part to the generosity of the great folks at Big Bad Toy Store!
Click the thumbs to see pics.
If you’re interested in snagging one of these starfighters, click here to find the mid-sized vehicle case at BBTS!
Our friends over at Jedi Temple Archives managed to get Wave 16 in hand and have detailed pictures of the 8 new figures from the wave (best wave of 2012?). Head on over to feast your eyes on some of the best the Vintage Collection has to offer.
If you’re thinking of making the trek to Disney World to build yourself some astromechs, you make want to check DarthChucks inventory report.
I caccia d’attacco della Repubblica si lanciano in battaglia per dispiegare i soldati! At least that’s what the box says on this internationally packaged version of the freakin’ impossible to find Republic Attack Dropship and Clone Pilot. Supposedly, a repacked and repainted version of this vehicle, with a different figure, will be out in a few months. In the meantime, click the banner or the thumbnails below for some pics of a pretty neat mini-rig.
Check back in a bit for a very short video with incredible production values that demonstrates, in startling detail, the troop deployment feature.
EDIT - Here it is! It’s tremendous!
Our weekend image blitz concludes with the Bespin Battle battle pack which captures the participants in the climatic battle at the conclusion of The Empire Strikes Back namely Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and…err..Boba Fett?
Chances are if your in our target demo of 30-something man-children who get seriously ticked off at browsey little kids in the action figure aisle, this battle pack isn’t for you. It’s a throw back to the POTF2 days with figures that sport five points of articulation and heavier molds, but if you collect them all, you need this. I kinda like the Luke for what it is. Check it out.
And here’s the second of the K-Mart exclusive 2 packs, the AT-ST Crew. Click through to check it out.
Once again, thanks Jim.
And now for something a little more timely, here’s the Ewok Scouts Special Action Figure Set 2 pack that is exclusive to K-Mart. Click through to check out the pics.
Special thanks to forum moderator, BIGJIM, for saving me several fruitless 45 minute drives to my closest K-Mart.
One of the major downsides to contributing to a web site in your spare time is that work and life sometimes gets in the way. So while most of you probably already own this item, here’s our Photo Archive entry for the Target exclusive Darth Maul Returns which contains two Clone Wars styled figures and the realistically styled Nightsister (which is a repurposing of the unused Comic Pack Mighella figure). Click through to check it out.
We need to get this web site to start making money so I can quit my day job!
The Target exclusive Darth Maul Returns Battle Pack has arrived in the Bay State (Massachusetts to you troglodytes), so with the exception of perhaps the upper reaches of Maine, this set appears to have made the coast to coast swing.
The highly anticipated Toys R Us exclusive Speeder Bike with Scout Trooper is here for your viewing pleasure. Click through to check out this highly worthwhile upgrade.
It’s a good day to be a nerd. Just yesterday, there were reports of the TRU exclusive Speeder Bike hitting San Diego. Today I found the new Speeder Bike here in Massachusetts. Rarely does product make such a rapid eastward procession. As Obi-Wan Kenobi would say, “that was short”.
All standard apologies for the hastily taken cell phone pic while at work.
A Target exclusive feature length director’s cut of the Darth Maul Returns Clone Wars story arc will be released next Tuesday. Special thanks to DarthChuckMC for the heads up on this one.
I think it’s safe to speculate that the reset to release the Darth Maul Returns battlepack will be timed to coincide with the DVD launch.
