What Happened To The Photo Real Paint Apps On Leia?!?

The Instagram user therancorpit posted in-hand images of the upcoming Vintage Collection wave 4. I was very eager to see how the production Photo Real facial paint applications turned out on the Leia in Boushh disguise figure. Improved paint apps would be a terrific salve for the disappointment of the permanently sculpted thermal detonator in the figure's left hand. Either the plans for Photo Real were scrapped, or the technology is all sizzle and no steak (at least at the 3.75" scale). This particular sample looks WORSE then the TBS 3.75" Phase III (Blue) release. These paint apps are reminiscent of the horrible paint jobs on the TBS 3.75" Phase I (Orange) figures.

I can't even explain what's going on here. Based on the difference in the eyebrows alone, this can't even be the same paint mask, can it?
