What Could Have Been:  The Force Unleashed 3

I...think this is bad advice.

Remember Sam Witwer's Twitch stream we reported on a couple of days ago, in which the former Starkiller actor discussed how Dave Filoni almost re-canonized him into Star Wars Rebels? Well, I still don't know what the hell it is, but apparently Twitch streaming isn't just a solo activity. It seems particularly unsafe because we know we must never cross the streams. Witwer was apparently joined by TFU project lead Hayden Blackman and audio lead David Collins to discuss a few storyline ideas they kicked around for the TFU3 game that never was.

Blackman's main idea for a plot, as reported here by Eurogamer, revolved around Starkiller and Vader needing to team up against Boba Fett.

The one idea I had related to that was Boba Fett being sent after the Rogue Shadow and basically shooting it down and you literally play as Vader and the Apprentice trying to survive and they have to join forces together to work their way off the planet - and you never know when you can trust Vader. Then you find out Boba Fett has been sent by the Emperor to make sure neither of them gets off the planet because the Emperor has his own plot.

Blackman, Witwer, and Collins discussed bits of other ideas of theirs. Blackman "wanted to build a more open world, a game that had more exploration to it..." Witwer pitched an idea in which Vader would have been captured at the end of TFU2 and be the defendant in "the trial of the century...and then the Imperial Star Destroyers turn up, Boba Fett turns up..." Collins said he wanted it to feel like the Nürnberg trials.

Witwer further added that there was a provocative idea with alternate endings, but apparently decided to stop short of revealing exactly what that might have been. Maybe he's saving it for a rainy day. None of it came to be because Disney bought Star Wars and shuttered LucasArts.

The Eurogamer article recommends watching the stream in its entirety. Apparently these guys were Twitching together for three and a half hours. I find this is quite alarming, and strongly urge them to see a doctor, already.
