The Black Series Shipping With A Vengeance, But…

The 3.75” Black Series line is shipping in pretty decent numbers at least locally.  The attached photo is from Target, but this is the case at both Target and Toys R Us.  Walmart stores seem incapable of distinguishing between any product with a Star Wars logo, so they are sitting this one out.  Even the Walmarts with allocated Black Series pegs seem content hanging Angry Birds product in its place.

But the news of seemingly good distribution is actually bitter sweet at best.  The stores in this area are getting flooded with wave 1.  AGAIN!  The back up of Biggs figures is so significant at this point that it’s likely to have a lasting impact on replenishment in the new year when stores shrink their the footprint for Star Wars toys after the holidays.

It feels like Ground Hog’s Day with Hasbro.  Same mistake over and over.
