Target Scanners Offer Faint Hope

As we reported on 12/27, the Vintage Collection / Black Series DPCI has been placed on clearance at Target.  Some reports on Jedi Temple Archives in the subsequent days turned out to be worrisome.  But a check of the Target scanners offers a glimmer of hope.

First,  Jedi Temple Archives reported that the 087-06-1351 DPCI not part of the upcoming Target reset.

Second. Jedi Temple Archives reported that the 3.75” Black Series line is not getting a new DPCI.  It will remain 087-06-1351.

You put those two revelations together and it means Target stores will not be carrying the 3.75” Black Series line in the near future.  But is this a temporary hiatus or permanent?  Checking the Target scanner reveals that this might be a temporary inconvenience and not a permanent retirement of the 087-06-1351 DPCI.  I believe when a DPCI is being retired, the scanner will say “NCF” somewhere on the screen.  I assume NCF means “not carried forward”, but that is just a guess.  The image below reveals that the dreaded “NCF” is absent when scanning a Black Series figure.
