Carl Edward Cunningham, 45, of Marietta, Georgia, appeared in California's Sonoma County Superior Court and pleaded guilty to theft of nearly $200,000 in Star Wars memorabilia. He faces additional charges in Texas for another theft of a rocket-firing Boba Fett valued at $40,000.
Apparently a once-respected member of the Star Wars collecting community, this guy is probably going to jail. Stealing a rocket-firing Fett and trying to sell it has to be pretty stupid. With so few in existence, and presumably all of them accounted for in great detail, the concept of trying to sell a stolen rocket-firing Fett is tantamount to doing the same for a rare work of art.
How do you get away with something like that? Apparently, you don't.
