Marvel's Star Wars #36 was just released, and io9 has a summary. I came across the article and would not have read very far except for this opening paragraph:
R2-D2 leaves the Rebel Fleet in an X-Wing to go and find C-3PO, who’s been captured by a group of alarmingly efficient Stormtroopers known as SCAR Squadron, and brought before Darth Vader himself. What follows is essentially the droid version of Taken, and it’s absolutely amazing.
After that, I clearly had no choice but to read on. We know that R2 has a particular set of skills, and that he used them during his share of aggressive encounters throughout The Clone Wars animated series, but his victims were usually other droids. In this comic, he goes on a murder spree aboard an Imperial Star Destroyer that looks like it would top even Luke Skywalker's rampage at the Battle of Carkoon.
Luke salutes the efforts of R2-D2, as he prepares for an attempt to surpass the astromech's bodycount. He failed miserably.
As I said, I'm not into comic books, but I might have to make an exception for this one.
