Ewan McGregor was a guest on The View, and was asked (for the millionth time) if he would be interested in portraying Obi-Wan in a standalone film. As usual, he said enthusiastically that he would be interested. However, despite all the rumors to the contrary, he had something else to say about the actual production being underway...

So McGregor says pretty definitively that he has no knowledge of any plans to move forward with this project. Sounds like rumors are still just that...unless Disney had cut him out and was recasting the role, which would be worse than the Mets' contract with Bobby Bonilla.
