As we've mentioned several times now, The Vintage Collection is facing it's first real test. Wave 3 first hit in late September and immediately sold out. That's nothing special. The first cases of any assortment always sell through, with the exception of TBS 6" cases, of course. 80% of the figures in those cases are used just to mark the passage of Walmart Time, but I digress. Beating a dead horse (and product line), I know.
No, it's when those cases make their second and third shipments that the demand can be better judged. Of the four stores I frequent, three have all but sold out of their wave 3 replenishment, which consisted of two or three cases. For the most part, TVC sales have continued to be brisk, but at the fourth store, which also happens to be my closest store, the outlook isn't so rosy. As with the others, this store quickly sold though it's first case of wave 3, but since then, it has gotten FOUR more cases. Of those 32 figures, only five have sold to date. That's not good, and there is no spinning this. Wave 3 has no excuses. There is no reason for it not to sell. It's filled with all new figures and army builders.
From these observations, TVC is doing well on the average, but it is no sure thing.

Peg warmer-ish?

I'm not happy about the slow sale rate, but it's good to see figures "falling off the pegs" again.
