Chris decided to sit this one out. Because he hate me, I had to take one for the team. My wife and I went to a Target in North Jersey, with the goal of grabbing all the 5POA figures and the vehicles. We actually split up, because there were two spots stocked with toys in the store. This was a good move, because the figures were gone by the time I got to my section. Fortunately, my wife managed to get all the basic figures (and snagged a BB-8 Pop! for herself), while I secured the deluxe figures, the playset, and all but 2 vehicles. The experience was pleasant enough, nothing too rowdy. About 40-50 people were there. Target did a pretty good job.
We then went to a Walmart, where there was absolutely nothing going on. I grabbed the 2 vehicles I was missing, although I didn't see the exclusive TIE fighter there. Unfortunately, I didn't see any black series 3.75" either. We went to a second Walmart, which was even more depressing. There was one ripped open case of basic figures, I think only the Luke was missing, and nothing else was put out. After all the nonsense with Walmart breaking the street dates, I'm not surprised there was complete indifference to the midnight effort. Walmart is just the worst.
