A few hours ago, the 45 days of the HasLab Vintage Collection Sail Barge campaign was half over. A few days ago we surpassed the halfway point in the number of backers with over 2500. We're officially on the downslope. We're on the back nine. But now is not time for complacency. This campaign is for the fans, but we feel passionately that it's also up to the fans to make it a success.

Since last week we have been campaigning for fans to do everything they can to get the message out. Fan sites can only preach to the choir. Chances are that our readers, who intend to back the Barge, have already done so. This probably even holds true for larger fan sites, like our friends at Jedi Temple Archives. We're not going to sway any new customers at this point (though we're going to keep trying). Strictly looking at the numbers, it seems like this campaign should easily get to 5,000 (more on that tomorrow). If it fails, it's not because of a lack of interest. It's because we failed to reach the larger congregation of Star Wars fans. That's where you come in.
We've been imploring you to share (not simply "like") everything related to the Sail Barge on social media, and with all due modesty, we think it's working. The backer rate this past weekend was actually higher than the previous weekend. That's amazing at this stage of the game. Keep sharing! Share this article (button below). Share every article about the Barge on your timelines. When friends and family ask you about it, tell them what a rare opportunity this is. "Once in a lifetime opportunity" and "Star Wars" rarely intersect. This is it. Tell everyone you know. Then when you're done, tell everyone you don't know. Retweet this Tweet. Share this image.
Spread the word! We can do this. We will do this. 5,000 should be trembling in fear. Now...
One last thing. I know it looks like we're copying our friends Jedi Temple Archives and Binary Son's excellent work by making a WWII-style motivational poster, but this has been planned for a while. You can see it being discussed HERE with frequent commenter MaarkeStele.
