Sometimes stars align. Chris Farley was a uniquely funny sketch comedian, but Matt Foley wouldn’t translate to a feature length film. Then the perfect vehicle for his talents came along in the form of Tommy Boy, and a classic film was born. Similarly, 2018 brought to us the perfect vehicle for the Tonnika Sisters: HasLab. The stars have aligned. It’s #TimeForTonnika because HasLab exists.

Hasbro, we’re good right? We can keep it real with you, right? Your insight with respect to the demand for the Vintage Collection hasn’t exactly been infallible. By your own admission, you were caught flat-footed with the demand for the Razor Crest requiring you to spin up some adhoc stretch goals. I suspect that, under the influence of sodium pentathol, you would admit that the sales figures of the recent TVC Boba Fett are eye-popping.

Let us prove you wrong again. Bring the Tonnika Sisters to the relatively lower risk HasLab platform. We’ll blow it out of the park. If we don’t, we will tuck our pride between our legs, slink out of sight, and never bring up the subject again. Bring us the sisters by themselves or as part of a Vintage Collection Cantina multi-pack. We’ll buy it, and so will some retailers.

Let’s recap why it’s #TimeForTonnika:

• The Tonnika Sisters are the most visible and highest priority characters from the Cantina, as we wrote in PART ONE, and as reflected in the priority list of our Cantina M.I.A.F. feature.


• 70% of the components from the recent Zorii Bliss figure can be repurposed to make the Tonnika Sisters as we described in PART TWO.


• The perfect vehicle to release these figures now exists courtesy of HasLab.

One last thing: One lesson in life is that it’s always better to be a day early than a day late. I don’t want to be morbid, but I don’t need to remind anyone here how many Force Ghosts count themselves among the cast of A New Hope. Disney, I sense you’re the real target of this campaign. In the unlikely event you’re reading this, do the right thing. No one ever loses by being nice. Ever. Give Angela a figure of her iconic role while she can still capitalize on it, and we fans can delight in getting it autographed by the actress.
