Why are our supporting figures released in the wrong scale?
There has been a continued frustrating trend from Hasbro where they release a premium 3.75 world building product and release the accompanying figures in 1/12.
Ending November 2020 the Razor Crest ended with over 28K backers. Collectors showed up and supported the product putting their money where their mouth is. Razor Crest backers were promised that they would receive the supporting figures. Fast forward a year into 2021 and Q9-0, the only other character to pilot the Razor Crest, was delivered to fans, The Black Series fans. Here it is January 2024 and the TBS Q9-0 goes unappreciated, still available half off on multiple websites.

January 2021 saw the release of the modular Tantive IV Hallway. Do you think Hasbro saw fit to support the release with a newly tooled A New Hope Princess Leia in 2021? If you guessed yes you would be right. She just happened to be taller than the walls. Just a few weeks back US collectors nationwide were finding both releases of that figure in closeout stores two years later.

Moving on to February 2022 we saw the release of the Nevarro Cantina Playset. We had some amazing scenes go down in the hit television series but it will take quite the talented photographer to recreate them using the March 2022 6 inch The Client release. Good luck even getting your hands on that one to attempt the photography. Unlike most TBS ancillary releases The Client carries a huge demand and premium.

February 2022 also saw a incredible Jabba err Boba Fett Throne Room debut. It would be an open pre-order to be delivered to fans in Summer 2023. Hasbro, thinking ahead, planned for a Kenner styled boxed Jabba release to coincide with the Throne Room shipping to fans.

Why that Jabba is out of scale with the Throne Room and confusingly in a 3.75 Kenner style box without The Black Series label we will never know. If you don’t want to wait till September 2024 I’m sure you can pick up that oversized Jabba being discounted.

2023 saw the Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary celebrated in The Vintage Collection. Hasbro had big plans to deliver an amazing Endor world building catalog to the fans. We were in for quite the surprise to learn Hasbro had thought of quite a unique cost effective idea for our displays. No need to spend double if not triple on the aftermarket for a 3.75 Endor Rebel.

Hasbro would do one better for us, large enough to take up the space of two.

How would you rate Hasbro’s approach to World Building?
Can The Black Series Q9-0 fit in the Razor Crest cockpit?
Do you have Endor Rebels the size of giants flanking your imperials?
