There is plenty that I would like to add to my collection before I cease to be, join the choir invisible, and become an ex-collector. I'd really appreciate it if Hasbro would speed it up a bit.
I recently wrote about how Hasbro doesn't care about me because they give me very few debut items from the OT or PT. After 25+ years of being a completist/army builder, I have everything that already exists, and my patience grows thin for the overwhelming flow of updates to things I already own leaving very little room in the line for new stuff.
My collecting focus has been refined during the TVC 2.0 era by the direction taken by Hasbro, specifically the advent of HasLab. As of now, I prefer things that go with my HasLabs. I've spent enough money and devoted enough space to these collection centerpieces, that it's only fair Hasbro provides sufficient and consistent support for each one. HasLabs and other big ticket items like (Boba Fett's Jabba's Throne Room) have highlighted the need for so many more Glups to fill out these scenes, but I can also happily accept certain repacks, repaints, and updates when it makes sense.
Here's the thing I would ask of Hasbro if they are interested in mending our relationship: If there's a TVC Haslab, then Hasbro needs to support it with figure, beasts, vehicles, or displaysets every year in perpetuity. Seriously. If there's a large space-sucking $500 item that we buy, there needs to be a consistent commitment to provide new supporting product that helps flesh it out in the best way possibe on a regular basis - not just a one-time simultaneous "orbit" of stuff. I'm talking about something like the Jabba's Court Denizens, which came 4 years after the Barge. That. I want that. Every year. For every TVC Haslab released by Hasbro. If I knew that within about 5 years of the release of a HasLab, most of the respective "crews" would be complete, I'd be over the moon.
Aside from whatever Hasbro does normally for basic figures, multipacks, beasts, vehicles, sets, etc. during the year, this would be an example of my dream scenario for the next few years. After all, Haslabs are supposed to be dream items, so let's keep dreaming. You'll notice that many of the figures are either kitbashes of existing figures, or are new and can be readily kitbashed into something else themselves. Occasionally, if it makes sense, there are some repacks, repaints, or updates. I guess not everything can be a debut, and that can be okay. Bottom line, let's get at least one decent set or figure pack that helps sustain our HasLab investments, and gives hope for collectors of future HasLabs.

I could keep going, and of course this doesn't include future HasLabs. At one per year, this requirement would be pretty substantial in a few years. But at least for now, this will do. We'd have half of these done already if Hasbro took this advice starting in 2020. Look, I'm old already. But by the time 2031 rolls around, I'll be 58. To paraphrase the great orator Billy Madison: "T-T-T-Today, Hasbro!"
