The #FightForTVC Campaign IS NOT An Attack On TBS

As we're in the early stages of the campaign to show tangible concrete support for the 3.75" super articulated platform, we need to state clearly that in no way is this an attack on the 6" Black Series line. This is just advocacy for the Vintage Collection and to hopefully prove our belief that the market for that product is definitely still there. It's not a market that went away. It's a market that's grown disenfranchised and dispirited over the years, but with the right product, the kind of product Hasbro is currently zeroing in on, it will come roaring back. It's a market that has grown exceedingly apathetic over the years, so a bit of "why bother-ism" has crept in. All we're doing is saying "stand up and be counted".

We think there is room for both products, and moreover, those markets definitely do not have complete overlap. Far from it. The two lines satisfy two distinct market demands as Hasbro has repeatedly noted. Collectors with a world focus will want 3.75" product. Collectors with a character focus will want 6" product. While some collectors fall into both buckets, I firmly believe that there is more exclusivity to one camp or the other than there is overlap. So by under-supporting TVC, Hasbro is leaving money on the table. We just need to move this belief from anecdotal to definitive with this campaign.

We are not saying Hasbro should make less Black Series. We are saying Hasbro should make more Vintage Collection. I wouldn't wish what has happened to the 3.75" Star Wars scale on any collector. It's not a fun place when the hobby quits you long before you quit it, as has happened to thousands of 3.75" collectors. So I cannot stress enough that this is not an attack on the Black Series. It's a belief that Hasbro can, and would, be justified in supporting both equally.

We are encouraging everyone who is helping us share this message to stay on the positive side. Speak for what you love. Share your passion and use the hashtags #FightFovTVC #BackTVC and #save375 while @ing Hasbro and Hasbro Pulse.

We've been reaching out to the heavy hitters and influencers in the Star Wars community. In the coming days we'll be telling you who is in the #FightForTVC with you.
