So…How ‘Bout Them Skeleton Crews!

[About spoilers: this article won't discuss much about the plot of the show, so if you haven't seen the episodes yet, you should be safe - unless you're trying to remain completely in the dark prior to watching.

That said, the comment section below will NOT be spoiler-free, so take Walter White's advice, and tread lightly.]

I watched the 2-episodes of Skeleton Crew. I'm sad TVC is not able to provide some of these figures...

I'm not going to go into a review here. I'll just say it was cute so far. I know the big knock since the trailer dropped was that the 'burbs don't seem Star Wars-y enough. Well, there's obviously more to learn about this planet and why it is the way it is, so we'll have to wait and see as the series progresses. It was light-hearted, and I didn't find the kids to be particularly annoying. I'm definitely curious to see the journey unfold, as well as learn more about the underlying mystery.

I wanted to touch on TVC briefly. We've seen the reveals, and other than VC310 Jod Na Nawood, TVC has so far been shut out, while Sixers get the entire crew of Nawood, 4 kids, and now SM-33 - along with Brutus. I'm not about to suggest that I hope Hasbro devotes precious resources to all of these figures. Maybe I'd like to see SM-33, but I'm more interested in Brutus and the pirate scum we've seen so far.

The biggest standout for me so far is Vane, who had a short but fun role in season 3 of The Mandalorian. He's back, and appears to have a prominent role in the rest of this series. Along with Vane, there were several recognizable aliens in the show. It's great to see Rodians, Quarren, Klatooinians, Trandoshans, Ishi Tibs, Gran, Weequay, Snivvians, Twi'Leks, and Theelin. These are just more opportunities for Hasbro to re-use tooling for characters that would help fill out the Cantina or Jabba's Palace/Sail Barge. There were an interesting variety of new (or at least, new to me) aliens as well. Even if there's very little support for Skeleton Crew, these aliens make great background fodder for all sorts of populated figure displays.

Oh, maybe Nawood isn't alone in 3.75". You could always grab Teek from the Star Tours set, and you've just doubled your figure quantity from the show.

Other weird possible cameos that I may or may not have seen correctly:
Constable Zuvio, Yarna d'al' Gargan, and Pirate Steve Urkel.
