It's been reported that JJ Abram's original cut of The Rise of Skywalker clocks in at a whopping 3 hours and 12 minutes. That is neither economically viable nor bladder friendly. I go to a theater that serves beer right at your seat, folks. Having said that, I would very much like to see this full version. The site SNTS has a rumor report that details the "whys" behind the near hour-long edit-ectomy of TROS. You can read the full report HERE.
This same report goes on to detail that the full director's cut of The Rise of Skywalker will be trickled out over THREE releases across the various mediums (theatrical, home release, streaming). The first of which comes via a theatrical release of an "Extended Cut" similar to Avengers: End Game. SNTS writes:
An extended version of The Rise of Skywalker will be announced in the coming week, releasing near the end of January, and including 3-5 additional sequences fit into the narrative. This should bring the cut up from 142 minutes to about 165 minutes. Rumored sequences to be included in this cut involve an extended Endor sequence that occurs before the final shot in the current film, Lobot and Lando in a sequence that predates the chase in the desert, and a slew of ghost Jedis returning alongside Luke and Leia and participating in the final sequence to unseat the Emperor.
LOBOT! But this cut will still leave 27 minutes of film on the edit room floor. Enter the 4K/Blu-Ray/DVD home release. SNTS continues:
This new cut will be simply treated as an Extended Cut, and will include a post-credits sequence highlighting additional sequences that will be released with the official Blu Ray release of The Rise of Skywalker which will have a special J.J. Abrams Director’s Cut version of the film at 185 minutes.
Okay, but there's still 7 minutes out there. Enter Disney+. SNTS concludes:
When The Rise of Skywalker enters the streaming window exclusively on Disney Plus it will include an additional 7 minutes of extra footage that didn’t get finished in post production as a part of its exclusive run on the streaming upstart.
Say, Disney, if you're going to do additional post-production, how about you give us a cut to the cockpit of the Ghost during the Battle of Exegol showing a senior Hera and a middle-aged Kanan Jr.?

I like fun things. Sue me. Putting an updated version of this in the Disney+ version wouldn't hurt anyone.
